Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed has said that the Federal Government has concluded plans to place Nasarawa State on the global tourism map. Ahead of deadline expiration for linkage of Subscribers Identity Module (SIM) cards with National Identity Numbers (NIN) on April 9, the National Identity Management Commission has launched a new Mobile Web Service (MWS) Application and improved National Identity Number (NIN) slips for public use. The Federal Government has today issued the notice for the Highway Development and Management Initiative (HDMI) to commence the procurement for the twelve federal highway roads it intends to concession under its novel Highway Management Development Initiative (HMDI) conceived last year. The N5bn budgeted to help Nigeria’s small businesses participate in the export market has been released. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) which announced this in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said it is going round the zones of Nigeria to sensitise SMEs and potential exporters to access the fund.[Business Day]

African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Joint Project Preparation Fund for Nigeria’s export trade. The embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Abuja has conceded to the demands of Nigeria to remove the requirement for a Rapid Antigen test at the airports in Nigeria for passengers travelling to UAE.
